By purchasing a $20 tax deductible one-year gift membership, the recipient will be invited to exclusive Talk & Tours with curators at the Royal Alberta Museum; receive invitations to special museum events, exhibitions, and the annual Museum Appreciation Night; and receive the Friends' Notes quarterly newsletter.

Mammoth News - New Royal Alberta Museum to be built starting in 2012 

A new Royal Alberta Museum will be built in downtown Edmonton starting this year. It will be a provincial museum well-equipped for the future - a museum with the room, accessibility and connections it needs to become an iconic institution respected around the world. The new Royal Alberta Museum is expected to cost a total of $340 million.

November 16, 2011 - Government of Canada Invests in the New Royal Alberta Museum

September 14, 2011 - The winning design for the new Royal Alberta Museum is unveiled -- the Ledcor/DIALOG/Lundholm team was selected following the evaluation of four proponents shortlisted for the project. FRAMS president, Marla J. Daniels, is thrilled with the winning design and was honoured to be a member of the design review panel, which included architectural and museum industry professionals. 
April 7, 2011 - The Government of Alberta commits to developing a new larger Royal Alberta Museum at a site in the downtown Arts District, relocating the Museum from its existing Edmonton site.To learn more, click on the links below:
