INSIDE INFO: TALK AND TOUR SERIES - new!

In February 2009, the FRAMS Membership Committee introduced a new curator-led tour series designed especially for Friends' members and their guests. Inside Info: Talk and Tour will take place four times a year and will highlight permanent galleries and touring exhibits.  For dates and details, please call 780-453-9103 or check this website periodically. 

FRIAA PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT WILD ALBERTA GALLERY
On July 23, 2007, the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA) and the Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society announced an exciting new partnership that will support environmental education throughout the next decade. FRIAA has invested $1.25 million, through the Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society, to enrich the Wild Alberta Gallery at the Royal Alberta Museum. Find out more

MUSEUM SCHOOL
In 2007, the Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society celebrated its 25th anniversary by making a significant contribution to the Museum School. This innovative program offers teachers the opportunity to move their classroom to the Royal Alberta Museum for a full week of entertaining, hands-on learning through exhibits, galleries and amazing behind-the-scenes tours.

On December 3, 2007, Minister of Tourism, Parks, Recreation and Culture, Hector Goudreau and Dr. Bruce McGillivray accept a $32,200 cheque presented by Godfrey Huybregts, on behalf of the Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society, in support of Museum School.
